This
traditional garden is an extension of the architecture: simple, classic lines
and materials reference the building and extend the spaces to the garden. Generous
trellises provide softening and sun relief for the dinning and family rooms
where French doors open out to the main terrace. The fireplace, framed by a “throw
rug” of patterned Connecticut blue stone, bordered by a running band
of a select blue color creates an outdoor living area with views to the pool,
great lawn and Mt. Tamalpais in the distance. Garden backdrops in natural and
painted Cedar provide reference and ornamentation at the pool and rose garden. |
