Shelter Island Bay was a landscape rehabilitation effort for a bay side, multi-family condominium development that was built in the early 80s.
Pedersen Associates renovated the entire landscape with the addition of bay-tolerant and low-water using trees, shrubs, ground cover and perennials, new light bollards and a fresh walking surface.
The lawn areas were reduced to comply with the WELO (water efficiency landscape ordinance), for County of Marin and the State of California.
The result is a beautiful, flourishing, water-wise coastal garden that provides bay access, passive recreation opportunities and lasting value for homeowners.
